Never Walk Alone
Paul Harrington 7/13/2010 10:53:19 AM

Hi everyone,

What is the most important ingredient in the recipe of living an obedient Christian life? Bible Study? Prayer? Worship? Certainly faith is essential- "without faith it is impossible to please God." Prayer for the filling of the Holy Spirit is one of the main ingredients as well....

One thing many Christians forget however is what I would call the seasoning in the recipe....friendship. A good blend of Christian friends in our lives is so important! All the varieties of personalities, life circumstances and spiritual gifts are what God has provided for each one of us to walk with God obediently. Let me ask you, how are you doing in the area of surrounding yourself with good Christian friends? (See Hebrews 10:24,25) brother and sister- make yourself available for friendship with other followers of Jesus Christ. I recently set up a facebook account online...now i have to admit that I am ussually the last person to sign up for the latest technoligical advance ( i never owned a cd until 1996) but i must admit that this service has brought to mind so many people that at one time or another made such a huge difference in my life.....where would I be without those people that God placed in my life at one time or another? Our christian friends so many times are the voice, the feet and the hands of God.....it has been good to touch base with those i have found through face book. Now you don't need facebook to do this, but you can make a call, send a letter or e-mail!

So, if you are not connecting with other christians maybe its time for you to put some seasoning in the recipe of your spiritual life- reach out, you make the call, you put out your hand- you offer the coffee or tea....it may the very thing you need to finally go through what you have been going through.........

have a great day....remember- never walk alone- reach out and realize, the only way to have a friend is to be one!
