Our Values
1. The WORD OF GOD:
We believe the Bible is divinely inspired God's revelation of Himself to us. It serves as the supreme authority for our faith and conduct. Not only are we committed to God’s Word, but we recognize the importance of obedience to His Word as evidence of our salvation. (Matthew 5:17-18; John 5:39, 15:14; 1 Thessalonians 1:8; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:1-2, 5:9; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 1 John 2:3-4)
2. PRAYER:
Jesus declared that His house should be known as a house of prayer. Here at LCC we are committed to the goal of making prayer our greatest priority and the centerpiece of our church calendar. We recognize that without Christ’s leading and power, we can do nothing of eternal value. (Psalm 109:4; Matthew 21:13; Luke 18:1; Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; 1 Timothy 2:1-4; James 5:16)
3. HOLINESS:
We believe that personal holiness not only honors God but is one of the most powerful defenses against our enemy. Holiness is a measure of our Christlikeness and spiritual power and is a key component to revival. (2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:16)
4. EVANGELISM:
The final command that Jesus gave his disciples before ascending to heaven was to go and make disciples. We recognize that Christ will not return until the Gospel is preached to all nations. We are committed to world evangelism and centering our lives on reaching the lost for Christ. (Matthew 24:14, 28:19)
5. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT/DISCIPLESHIP:
We recognize that the fastest way to reach the world is by becoming Mature, Multiplying disciples. We believe that each member is responsible and that this method is the key to having an exponential impact for Christ. (Mathew 28:19; Acts 6:7; 2 Timothy 2:2)
